Inspector General Mathius said, the first method was an arrangement using sophisticated technology to detect the progress movement of the KKB Egianus Kogoya.
“We are currently monitoring the first method and the second method is through community and religious figures sent by the local government until I stood up and spoke with media friends, but there was no information back,” said Mathius.
“If we can get the information back. Then we can synchronize the information we get through the talks concerned with the information that is directly in the field,” he added.
Inspector General Mathius and the TNI will restrain the pilot’s safety. Therefore, he still asked for time.
“Safety is very important, so I’m not talking about a deadline. We will maximize how the negotiations are. Because the safety of that person is very important to me, especially those concerned with foreign nationals,” he said.
As is known, a number of New Zealand envoys met with the Indonesian National Armed Forces and Police in Mimika. According to Mathius, New Zealand requested that their citizens who were victims of the KKB hostage-taking be saved.
“This is also the hope of the police for New Zealand that there is a deposit from their National Police leadership or their government for the safety of their people,” he said.
As is known, the Susi Air plane piloted by a New Zealand citizen, Philip Mehrtens, set fire to the KKB in Lapter Paro, Nduga on (7/2). In addition, the pilot was also held hostage by the Separatist
